The KCI EzyWrench will undo and tighten the most overtightened, stubborn & rusted wheel nuts in seconds!

The KCI EzyWrench works on a unique centrifugal clutch mechanism. This enables it to undo the most overtightened, stubborn & rusted wheel nuts where other 'rattle guns' will not come close. The unit is simple, robust and lightweight, operating from a 12v cigarette lighter connection or direct from a 12v battery. 

It produces a maximum torque of 340Nm (250Ft/Lbs) which exceeds most torque settings of wheel nuts. An average 4WD for example should have wheel nuts tightened to between 80 - 120Ft/Lbs. Usually over time wheel nuts become overtightened by heat, water, dirt & rust and require a true impacting action to loosen. A normal air gun at service station does not impact - it only rattles! Operation:

  1. Plug unit into cigarette lighter connection OR direct to battery with adaptor
  2. Fit correct size socket
  3. Place socket on wheel nut
  4. Hold switch until impacting action occurs-there may be a delay of up to 3-5 seconds for it to impact. If necessary START ENGINE.
  5. Beware of left-hand thread nuts! It may take up to 5-10 impacts to loosen wheel nuts - (trucks up to 20-30)
  6. Reverse to tighten wheel nuts - take care not to overtighten!
The KCI EzyWrench will even undo 41mm truck wheel nuts. They will easily undo nuts/bolts on round shafts. Draw is minimal (8.3A) and will undo & tighten 4 wheels without any great drain on the battery.

NB: If impacting action does not occur after 5 - 6 seconds,  START ENGINE.   13.5V is required for impacting action to occur.

  • Check wheel nuts with a torque wrench after tightening.
The EzyWrench will easily tighten wheel nuts to manufacturers torque settings after only a few impacts - take care not to overtighten! All ST22 units have a 2 year warranty after March 2007. We will repair/replace as necessary. After warranty period they are easily repaired for minimal cost. Freight costs apply one way for warranty repair.
